What is OLOtour
OLOtour brings 360° virtual tours into WordPress: interactive paths made of spherical panoramas, clickable hot-spots and connected environments, published like any other content on your site.
The difference from existing tour platforms: no subscription-fee embeds from external services, no third-party branding on your spaces, no visitor data ending up with third parties. The tour lives on your own hosting.
Status — Product in final pre-launch testing: this manual describes the foundations it's built on. A taste already exists today, the 360° Viewer tile in OLObuild's Interactive family.
Scenes & media
- Spherical photos: equirectangular panoramas from your own shots (360° cameras or smartphones).
- 360° video: spherical footage playable inside the scene.
- Built-in libraries: professional panoramas and HDRI from Polyhaven, views from Google Street View: you can start even without your own material.
The hot-spots
Every scene can contain interactive points:
- Informative: text and images: the room's info card, the artwork's caption.
- Navigation: portals to another scene: the door that opens onto the next space.
- Action: links to the site: the “book this room” CTA right inside the room.
Paths, 3D & VR
- Multi-room: scenes linked into paths: entrance → room → terrace → book.
- 3D and splat scenes: beyond photos: 3D models and gaussian splats for reconstructed environments.
- VR: headset experience straight from the browser, no dedicated app needed.
In the suite
- OLObuild: the 360° Viewer tile is already available; OLOtour is its evolution into full paths.
- OLObooking: the action hot-spot leads to the booking engine: see the room, book it.
- OLOlang: hot-spot cards and captions translatable into 28 languages.
